Hatch Hall was constructed by the Order of the Society of Jesus, more commonly known as the Jesuits, in 1913 to accommodate students of University College Dublin, and was once home to the famous Irish playwright George Bernard Shaw. Described as the last Gothic Revival public building to be erected in Dublin, it has a beautiful former chapel that stretches across two stories and is close to St Stephen’s Green, Merrion Square and many of the city’s cultural institutions.
